Things I liked: 1983 Beeman R1 .20 cal. I wanted to go back to close to original power. Was shooting JSB 13.73gr at 680fps avg. rifle started loosing power. Was able to disassemble without a spring compressor. New spring is 1.5 inches longer with 1 less coil but coils are thicker. Used new air Venturi seal, it's new design red with lube retaining ring. Air Venturi moly paste. Built a spring compressor. It's an absolute must. Old spring was compressable by hand about 1.5 inches. New spring barely budged. Installed perfectly. Used existing metal spring guide.

Things I would have changed: Nothing yet.

What others should know: Denatured alcohol will not clean inside of air rifle, I tried. Used hoppes #9 then dried out then cleaned with alcohol. Hoppes is mainly kerosine you must get it all out. Wiped inside with CLP then removed excess especially at chamber end. Then applied moly paste to piston seal, ends of piston, inside piston, spring tube, spring any guide. Used compressor and reassembled. Noticibly smoother and faster. Smoked only 7-10 shots. No spring twang at all with JSB's 13.73gr.Noticible vibration and harseness with firing 3 Kodiac 13.23gr. I won't try my FTS pellets just to light. JSB's always shot most accurate. I guess pellet choice is essential. Will Chrony after 200-300 pellets.

Things I liked: Tight fit, would still rotate on piston. Parachute seal as pictured but red in color with lube ring at base to center the piston in spring tube. New design as seen on other websites.

Things I would have changed: None

What others should know: It is the most current design. Pyramydair just great to order and do business with.
