Description
The Benjamin Prowler Nitro Piston SBD Air Rifle improves upon a fantastic entry level breakbarrel thanks to the addition of a shrouded barrel. Capable of velocities up to 1,250 FPS with alloy pellets, this is a solid and capable breakbarrel air rifle with a scope that's well-suited to pest control, small-game hunting, and plinking.
The air rifle features a Nitro Piston powerplant which results in quieter, smoother, more-consistent operation, with less recoil versus a traditional spring-piston. In addition, it maintains function even in the cold, has less vibration, can be left cocked for longer since it can't suffer from spring fatigue, and outlasts springs which lose their performance over time.
In order to achieve a lower sound level without affecting the scope positioning, Crosman has included a shrouded barrel that features QuietFire noise reducing technology. Also, the all-weather synthetic stock has a cheekpiece for proper and repeatable eye placement, and a rubber buttpad for comfortable shooting.
This package includes a 4x32 CenterPoint scope and mount that sits on the 11mm dovetail rail for greater accuracy, and the two-stage trigger adjusts to achieve a consistent break for steady shots. The air rifle also features a textured forearm and grip that allow for a firm hold regardless of moisture.
For a feature-packed breakbarrel airgun with ample performance for small game hunting, plinking, or pesting, buy a Benjamin Prowler Nitro Piston SBD Air Rifle from Pyramyd AIR now.

4 of 4 Benjamin Prowler Reviews
It is not a bad gun at all I is quiet and powerful
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing it is at a really good price and a quiet and powerful gun
What Others Should KnowIdk if it is just mine but it shoots high is kinda heavy
I have .22 version. Build quality and finish. Synth. Stock. Not hollow sounding.solid feel.grip. suppressor works great! Old versions were cocking handles. Trigger..adj. Not needed. Power! 22 ftlbs..plus! My piston must be overfilled. Accurate with 15 types/ weight pellets. Very. Very. Accurate. Which is surprising ...because it accepts the notably over-caliber h&n rabbit magnums(only gun that LOVES them ..out of 4 springers) without forcing into chamber! And STACKS THEM! The power allows me to go easy on my fav. Beeman Mach 12.5 28-30 ftlbs. Which is now only used for the largest prey. Hatsan EDGE is similar in power (spring powered)..but LOUD ( not very) in comparison. Smooth firing cycle. This is my only gas piston gun.
Things I Would Have ChangedI am traditional( old fogey). I resisted synth. I resisted gas piston. I dislike bulky junk on gun barrels..ruins lines...talking about the silencer...but it performs excellent. No problem. I cannot address .177 cal. Version...so ignore any caliber-centric remarks.
What Others Should KnowCocking feel is VERY different feeling cause of the gas piston. At 2 thirds full cock it seems like it" collapses"...like it " gives-up"..before sear engagement. Makes you think it failed. Nope. It HITS HARD!!!
QUITENESS ..in west texas..not priority. But this is SCARY QUITE gun. And quite scary value. Leave factory grease on action..clean barrel tho. Use spring chamber oil liberally to hasten breakin.pour excess oil out by standing it cocked an hour barrel down.
I have 400 dollar performance and joy...for 100 bucks. Fine with me!
Only Knockout Slugs are a problem..216 and .217 cal. Fall thru barrel..and catch in suppressor baffles.
Gun likes .22 crow magnums best all-around ammo

Great riflr
Things I Would Have ChangedWhile Chrono was done, the barrel was bent. I had a gunsmith straighten it, and it is spot on. Issue was due to how hard it was to break over. PA offered to replace it, but was easier to have it straightened.
What Others Should KnowHave the $20 test done. It will be worth it.
