The Crosman Shockwave NP QuietFire with scope is a quieter version of the Shockwave NP that has a shrouded barrel that reduces noise. It retains the features of the previous model, the Nitro Piston powerplant that gives shooters the advantage of maintaining performance at lower temperatures while being lighter, quieter, and having less recoil than a traditional spring-powered gun. The Nitro Piston also has less vibration and greater accuracy, exhibits greater longevity, and can be left cocked longer since there's no spring to damage.
The Shockwave NP QuietFire is an accurate breakbarrel air rifle with 2-stage adjustable trigger that's good for hunting or backyard plinking. It comes with a fixed front sight and fully-adjustable rear sight, and also includes an 11mm dovetail optics rail for the included 4x32mm scope or other optics of your choice. Nice heavy rifle, seems well built
Things I would have changed:Horrible front sight. So thin hard to get good sight picture. Makes a scope essential. I do not like scopes so I modified front sight to make it workable for me.
What others should know:If you have eyesight issues buy with scope, no modifications of front sight from Crosman. Otherwise good rifle.

Where do you load the CO2 cartridge?
Its a Spring powered airgun not a CO2 airgun. You pull the barrel down to cock it.

They've packed a lot of features I was looking for into a cheap gun. Powerful, Nitro Gas Piston, sound suppression, and iron” sights along with the scope. The power is impressive for my intended range (100’ and under).
Things I would have changed:May just be mine, but consistency/accuracy has been poor. “Iron” sights are terrible, both in design and materials as others have mentioned. I modified mine so the rear sight doesn’t shift side to side, which helped, but the front blade is still too narrow. Better QC on barrel rifling. Not sure how to address what I think of the scope. Not sure if mine is good or bad based on other issues. Shooting with the scope seems more inconsistent than with iron sights so far, so I’ve pulled it off and set it aside. I may try a red dot and see if that helps me any.
What others should know:Mine is likely a dud. This gun is cheap so Im not considering the warranty. I may buy another since it has the features I want so much cheaper than others. My issues could be due to poor rifling (pushing a pellet through is rough- it almost gets stuck in a couple spots), or due to resonance with the sound suppressor. At 10m Ive yet to achieve a group of less than an inch with either iron sights or scope. Ive put over 1k pellets through it of different types. I use the “artillery hold” and swabbed barrel, etc. Crosman premier wadcutters and super-domes are the best so far. Gamo magnum pointed and crosman pointed are way off of others. My groups seem to change locations on the target each time I pick it up. Maybe the sight shifts more than I realize. Sound suppression is good, but it’s still fairly loud (like a brad nail gun maybe?) I removed the sound suppressor for tests, without much change in groups. You can unscrew the suppressor using some lock ring pliers.
