Description
Remington has long been known as one of the first firearms manufacturers in America, but did you know they’ve been making airguns since 1928?
The Express Hunter is a Remington for the 21st century! From its all-weather synthetic stock, to its high powered gas piston, this gun is an easy buy. The contoured stock gives you a great grip where you need it, and its raised cheekpiece provides a comfortable hold. Use the 4x32 scope to bring targets in nice and close, or remove it to use the fiber optic sights.
While most manufacturers quote their air gun velocities with super-light alloy pellets, Remington quotes them with lead pellets -- the same lead pellets you'll use in your own gun. You should be getting about the same velocities the manufacturer states, and with this .22 cal., you can expect up to 950 fps. That's more than enough force to bring down small game or blast soda cans into oblivion.

Went and bought another gun liked it so much. Running 19 grain through this thing and I do believe this gun with a hornet pellet will easily take medium size game. We have a 4 foot smooth top fence around our backyard to let our 2 little lap dogs run around in and don't you know it we actually saw a coyote trying to climb the fence to get and eat our dogs. Yes they climb fences. My daughter lives in skirts of Chicago near a golf course and warned me they climb. Did not believe her until it happened to me in PA?? They pace the fence at dusk but it won't no more. Using a Rifle brand 18.67 grain headshot at 20yds put him right down. I am not a animal killer please. This gun is a great defender of your property.
Things I Would Have ChangedNOTHING
What Others Should KnowPRICE POINT POWER ACCURACY AND YOU DON'T NEED A GAMO MAGNUM.
The gun itself is very well made. The weight is nice, it's substantial and gives the gun great stability. All high-end parts and materials are used. This feels more like a real rifle and less like an air rifle.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe scope that ships with his is junk. I wish they had just left it out. Adjusting it had no effect. I ended up taking the scope off and using the gun without it to get any accuracy. Working the action is a bit tough. I hope it loosens up a bit over time.
What Others Should KnowBuy a separate scope.
rifle has a good weight , is well made, open sights are very good, composite stock is ok does not feel real great in my hand ,but i guess everyone could say that , were all different in whats comfortable . right out of the box it shot well and it was clean on the inside ,no machine swarf or foreign material , . havent found ( the right pellet) yet but 14.3 and 17 grain seem to be accurate enough so far , maybe 250 rounds in it so far no failures, relatively easy to cock but not as smooth as i am accustomed to feels a touch gravelly but it will improve with use i feel,--. scope is --well-- its an optic , obviously not top shelf, but didnt expect it to be at this price point . trigger is of the same style as my benjamin can be adjusted , there is just getting used to it thats the issue for me. overall so far a good pellet rifle for the money and seems to be durable.
Things I Would Have Changedgive the stock a camo finish or designer color any thing but black composite !!! just doesnt look appealing. just leave the scope out of the box and charge ten dollars less
What Others Should Knowseller sent the item i ordered , shipped and packaged well ,no damage. and arrived promptly, easy checkout and follow up on purchase. this is one gun you could practically carry around in the woods and hunt with or dispatch pests in the yard, to me the rifle is very quiet and should not upset next door neighbors.
I have quit a few airguns and some are rather expensive but when I go to grab a gun for a quick shot at some envasive species I grab my Remington Tyrant which is basically the same air rifle. It's short and not extremely difficult too cock which is great. It packs a real punch, I shoot an 18 grain pellet out of mine (.22) at pest busting speed. I don't own a chronograph so I'm not going to just guess but it will surely do the job for most folks. Now realize you are not buying a fine work of art "like some guns are" but your getting a very good reliable workhorse. Trigger pull is never good on guns in this price range you just have to adjust it to your liking do a light lube and work the heck out of it. At least I'm aware of when mine is going off..lol If you buy one take the time and blue locktite your forearm screws and trigger guard screws. It pays off in the long run when siting it in. I would use a good scope mount made for airguns that has a stop screw.
Things I Would Have ChangedBetter trigger.
What Others Should KnowI've explained my views on the gun I think. The stock I never mentioned but on the Tyrant XGP like mine it's appendextrious and of better quality than most in this price range.
Accurate right out of the box using just the sights.
This gun is a hard hitter. Loves 16grain pellets. go no lower then 15grain. Great gun. Read this gun uses RWS34 piston. Huge nitro piston.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing
What Others Should KnowValue for short money
Great price for a powerful and accurate break barrel. I'm getting 660fps at the muzzle with 18.52gr H&N Hunter Extreme. Thats 17.9 fpe and the fps at 10 yrds is still 637. Less than dime-sized groups at 12yrds. I will try to attach pics. Trigger is a long pull but not bad. I placed a UTG 3x12 bug-buster on mine and love that combo.
Things I Would Have ChangedIf these triggers were better, this would be an awesome shooter.
What Others Should KnowIt seams to like heavy ammo. 16gr and up.
It's relatively quiet. Great for back yard shooting and pest control. Very accurate with the scope, out to 30 yards. Cocking effort is very stout. It's a pretty good workout for my 70+ year-old arms!
Things I Would Have ChangedThe rear sight on mine is very delicate and "bouncy" (for lack of a better term). Could not get any consistency until I affixed the scope.
What Others Should KnowI used Crossman Premiere 14.3 gr. hollow points, primarily, with good results. Would like to experiment with some other loads, but those worked well enough to take out a pesky chipmunk at a fair distance.
P.S.: I did not buy this gun from Pyramyd, but from a shop near my home on a whim. I have bought other things from Pyramyd though, and will purchase from them again.
Good balance, not heavy easy to hold , descent power and accuracy.
Things I Would Have ChangedFront sight ,add sling mounts
What Others Should KnowGreat product, my opinion slightly overpriced, happy with this purchase. Thanks.

Good weight, solidly built, and very accurate out to 30 yards using stock sights. Has plenty of power to drop vermin in their tracks.
Things I Would Have ChangedI would prefer to not pay for a scope I will likely never use, as the rifle is used mostly at night, and the attached sights do a better job.
