The Diana 34 EMS Breakbarrel Air Rifle with synthetic stock is the first rifle that the German manufacturer has employed their Easy Modular System (EMS) on. The 34 EMS allows for parts to be swapped out to provide shooters with different capabilities. It reaches velocities of up to 1050 FPS in .177 and 950 FPS in .22, which makes it ideal for plinking and small-game hunting.

The biggest capacity for modular change on this air rifle comes from the capability to change the barrel, which has 1/2" UNF threading and a special locking system to provide a stable connection with the block, aiding accuracy. The 34 EMS manages to accomplish this while still maintaining a slender profile, a combination of features and usability rarely found on airguns in this price range.

Users have the ability to swap the spring-piston power plant for an N-TEC gas piston to gain its advantages, such as longevity, smoother and quieter shooting, and the ability to leave the air rifle cocked for longer periods.

The fiber-optic front sight can be changed, as can the micrometer adjustable rear sight, and the air rifle features a two-piece cocking lever that results in a more-even cocking effort. For greater flexibility than the different options for sights, an 11mm dovetails optics mount is also available for adding a scope. The barrel alignment is also adjustable, meaning shooters will no longer need to live with (or compensate for) barrel droop.

To get an air rifle with modular adjustability and accuracy at an affordable price, buy the Diana 34 EMS Breakbarrel Air Rifle with synthetic stock today at Pyramyd AIR.

Things I liked:

This rifle has adequate power and feels good in your hands. Not too heavy and very comfortable to hold. Cocking effort is almost nothing. Trigger on my rifle had no first stage ant a lot of creep, was quite dangerous since you did not know when it would fire however that can be adjusted out.

Things I would have changed:

Its awkward to push in the safety when ready to shoot since you have to take your thumb out completely from the hole. Redesign a dove tail groove at the back end so that the last stopper hole can be useable. The dove tail groove is not uniform in the last section so the mounts can not be installed using the last hole!!! The groove should be continued to the end like on the weihrauchs or Beemans.

What others should know:

The stock feels kid of cheap in your hands but its ok, accuracy makes up for it.

  • Rob from USA asked:

Anyone has an issue with mounting the scope rings with a stopper screw on the last stopper hole or is it just me?

    • Michael from USA answered:

If you peruse B.B.'s blog, you'll find many complaints about very ineffective scope stop holes on Diana stuff. Can't say from the photos but I'm guessing this one is no exception. Supposedly a one-piece scope mount with a ton of clamp bolts can ignore this.

  • Michael from USA asked:

How can this air rifle shoot faster in .22 (950 fps) than in .177 (937 fps in B.B.'s blog)?

    • Michael from USA answered:

Hello alternate me. The answer may shock you. Or, it may smooth you. Marketers hate this one simple trick!

  • William from USA asked:

where can i but the N-Tec piston to upgrade this rifle?
