The Umarex Emerge Multi-Shot Break Barrel Air Rifle is a value-focused package designed for accuracy and ease of use. Reaching velocities of up to 1000 FPS in .177 and 800 FPS in .22, this pellet rifle features the performance needed for small-game hunting, plinking, or target practice.
This air rifle uses a Turbo Nitrogen Technology (TNT) gas piston, meaning it provides shooters with advantages compared to standard spring-piston powerplants, including consistent operation across a range of temperatures, quiet and smooth operation, and less recoil. A nitrogen piston is also not subject to spring fatigue, so it lasts longer and can be left cocked for longer periods without risking damage.
The Umarex Emerge allows for accurate shots because it includes a fiber optic front sight and a fiber optic rear sight, and it also comes with a 4x32 scope and mounting rings that attach to its Picatinny optics rail. The 12-shot auto-advancing rotary magazine means that follow-up shots are faster than a typical single-shot breakbarrel that has to be reloaded after every shot.
The integrated SilencAir technology on this pellet rifle results in shots that are quieter than otherwise expected for added stealth, and the lightweight all-weather polymer stock makes it easy to carry. The two-stage adjustable trigger enables a predictable break, and texturing on the pistol grip and forearm results in added control.
To get a reliable breakbarrel pellet rifle for target practice, plinking, or small-game hunting, buy an Umarex Emerge Multi-Shot Break Barrel Air Rifle at Pyramyd AIR now.

The fiber optic sights, these make it easy to aim compaired to other open sights. I'm pleased to see a rifle still offering good quality open sights. At the time, there were not a lot of options for rifles that are: spring / gas-piston, multi-shot, and with open sights.
Things I would have changed:It's pointless to try and put a scope on a break barrel due to possible misalignment when you close the breech; having the scope as a package item or even having the rail is not really useful. It's heavy, you will get tired during long shooting sessions; which is made worse by the rifle requiring the artillery hold and not being able to use a bench rest. It's fairly loud, louder than my PCP, and louder than another gas piston and a spring pistol I have. Some of my neighbors did look over to see what was going on while I was shooting. Accuracy was rather lack luster. I found it to be just ok, but not great. It has a very limited range. This is further complicated by the rifle weight and the need to use the artillery hold.
What others should know:It's pickey about ammunition. The variation in performance and accuracy was signifigant based on the ammo used. It did prefer lighter pellets, 9.5-14.5 grain range, but only certain brands. See uploaded target photos. I shot one full magaine, per target. The ammo, grain weight, distance, and shooting position are written on each target. Targets were placed at 25ft and 40ft. After the first round of shooting all ammunition, I repeated the 40ft distance with the five most accurate pellets in a shootoff. Note, no adjustments were made to the rifle or the sights during any of the testing. Loading the magazine can be a little fussy; it will seem like it's in place, but not be set quite right. Use the artillery hold. It does not like being placed on a hard surface for support. With the low FPS and preference for lighter pellets, this may be ok for squirrels, but probably not for anything much larger.

This rifle has the best trigger of any Umarex break barrel I own and that says alot because I own a bunch. Historically their triggers are horrible. This one is pretty good. Nice 1st stage breaks cleanly about 3.5 lbs. The magazine is a robust design and is very easy to load. The rifle shoots well at least inside my 20ft. garage range pellet on pellet with Crosman 7.4gr wadcutters. The shot cycle is also super smooth.
Things I would have changed:The magazines are made out of pot metal and apparently cast and I had to use a file to get the spare one I bought to fit. There are signifcant issues with the magazine fitting properly in relation to the rear sight assembly. I will elaborate below. The entire magazine set up is clunky and an obvious first attempt for Umarex. I suspect the rifle will either be discontinued or get a redesign...soon. I am now on my 3rd gun because of issues with the magazine. Pyramyd and specifically Doug have been fantastic to deal with during this process.
What others should know:I want to make anyone that is considering this gun aware of a couple of booby traps. The first is the fitment of the magazine in relation to the rear sight(see photo). The mag fits too closely to the rear sight. If you move the sight upwards for example it changes the geometry preventing the mag from being to seat fully. This 3rd gun I received has had the best fit of the rear sight of the ones I have tried thus far. The 2nd issue is a nylon gasket/seal that is located against the breech. It has a tendency to come loose from the breech and stick to the mag which will also prevent the mag from fully seating. If the mag doesn't cover the majority of the magnet on top and have less than 1 mm of clearance against the rear sight it is not seated fully. The rifle has potential it really does but it needs some work.

The ergonomics and the new 12 round metal magazine. The rifle meets all manufacturing specs and met the chronograph numbers as stated on the box in both lead and alloy pellets.
Things I would have changed:Adding two sling points for easier carry in the field.
What others should know:Buy one extra 12 round metal magazine for added fun.
